Where we differ from official Poseidon

Everywhere this app departs from Poseidon’s documents, it says so on the answer it affects. Here is the complete list, with the reason for each.

Differs from Poseidon’s documents

Step “Timeout…” is ours, not Poseidon’s. Their table lists 0 = Timeout as the code but gives no step for it; we put this first wherever the code is 0.

Why: Se7en+ User Manual 2.5, Ch. 2: a timeout is a “test-user-not-response-time out” — the diver did not respond to the prompt in time.

Corrected. Poseidon’s table gives test 18 (HUD red LED) the solenoid “click” step, test 19 (HUD green LED) the Battery LED step, and test 24 (O2 solenoid) the HUD LED step. We show the HUD LED step for 18 and 19, and the click step for 24.

Why: The same misplacement is in all four manuals. In the MkVI table the remedies for 18 and 24 have visibly traded places; an LED cannot click, and a solenoid has no LED.

Corrected. Poseidon’s table says “Replace Primary oxygen sensor” for these codes; they concern sensor #2, so we say Secondary.

Why: The same manuals, calibration chapter: “If the test fails consistently with Error Code 69, 70, 74, or 75, the Secondary oxygen sensor needs to be replaced.”

Poseidon’s table lists no error code for this test and says to contact a Service Center. We say contact Poseidon Technical Support, for any code.

Why: Editorial: Bluetooth is not critical for the dive (the manual’s own note), so the route is support rather than repair.

Spelling. Poseidon’s 2015 code sheet reads “Voltage is to low / to high”; the manuals read “too”, and so do we.

Why: All four manuals.

Reworded, same instruction. Poseidon’s tables read “moutpiece”, “FULLY”, “oxygen- and diluent tanks”, “reinstall Firmware”, “Ensure to confirm canister good / fraction via wet switch wet procedure”, and “Standard Response; Insert battery into the charger.” as one step. We say mouthpiece, fully, cylinders, firmware, “Confirm the canister / the gas fraction using the wet-switch procedure”, and give the charger step on its own after the Standard response.

Why: Editorial: one consistent wording across units. Nothing a diver is told to do has changed.
